Director - Sales Engineering

Proxce Sales Team is on the lookout for high performing Lead Sales Engineers, who can bridge the divide between solution selling and technical problem solving. The right candidate would be result driven individual with a strong technical background.


In this role, you will:


Help Identify, Build and Run the Industry Segment

  • Help Identify high-potential markets and market segments, and propose market penetration strategies aligned to Proxce roadmap
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer segmentation, pain points and trends across various industry verticals and identify the areas where Proxce is a viable solution
  • Support the development of promotional messaging
  • Demonstrate thought leadership

Drive Customer Interaction

  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions based on Proxce platform
  • Visit prospective enterprise buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to demonstrate the Proxce platform, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages
  • Define and drive account acquisition and retention strategies by:
    • Understanding and defining customers’ requirements and objectives
    • Developing and articulating effective value propositions
    • Understanding and articulating competitive counter-positioning
    • Establish and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
    • providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess configuration needs and assess business requirements
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain Proxce products or services to customers and prospective customers

Provide Technical Guidance


  • Understanding how the product will fit in with the current complex systems which customer has
  • Mapping the points of integrations with the data exchange methods
  • Solving the problem of data exchange where there is no standard solution
  • Understanding customer requirements and guiding the development team to generate custom releases for unique cases
  • Troubleshooting Bluetooth, embedded and geo-tagging issues which might hamper product performance
  • Troubleshooting product performance
  • Architecting blue prints for customer environments, which would enable product to achieve peak performance 

Maintain Internal Management Process and Reporting


  • Setup new accounts by negotiating and creating new contracts for Proxce products & services
  • Document account activities, generate reports (including forecasting, revenue, etc) and keep records of business transactions with customers 
  • Keep current on competition and industry news, trends, products, services, and development
  • Provide feedback to the Product Development teams to improve and optimize the platform
  • Work with Proxce Management to understand and determine company strategy. Mentor the team to align and execute to the strategy


Basic Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering / Electrical engineering

7+ years of Solution Sales and Consulting in a complex environment

Knowledge of SaaS applications, interactions and eco system

Familiarity with contract negotiations


Preferred Qualifications


Technical Implementation Experience

IoT Knowledge at application and foundation layer
